Working hours: Monday - Friday 23.75 hours per week 17:00 – 22:00

To act as an accredited final checker for dispensed items, ensuring prescriptions are processed accurately, safely, and within required timescales in a fast-paced environment. The role is responsible for helping to ensure all prescriptions received are dispensed in line with operational requirements, supporting the achievement of service and performance targets, and maintaining appropriate quality control procedures. The post holder will work collaboratively with pharmacy teams to promote compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement across dispensary operations.

What you’ll be doing?

· Dispense all received prescriptions in line with daily operational requirements.

· Support the clinical team with day-to-day dispensary activities.

· Follow P2U dispensary operating procedures and maintain high standards of dispensing quality and accuracy.

· Adhere to all legal, regulatory, ethical, professional, and company requirements.

· Work effectively within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

· Achieve individual and team performance targets to support business objectives.

· Take ownership of prescription labelling and accuracy checks.

· Ensure appropriate quality control measures are followed and communicate any issues or improvements to pharmacy colleagues.

· Collaborate with teams across the business, including Customer Service, Purchasing, Operations, and Pharmacists.

· Participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities to maintain and enhance professional knowledge and skills.

· Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and inclusive workplace culture.

· Identify opportunities for process improvement and support operational efficiency.

Who are we looking for?

· Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification, or Pharmacy Technician qualification with ACT accreditation.

· Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

· Previous experience working in a pharmacy environment, including community, online, or dispensing pharmacy settings.

· Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in a regulated environment.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

· Confident using IT systems and able to quickly learn new technologies and processes.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate-level Excel skills.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals and service standards.

· Demonstrates initiative, a proactive approach to problem solving, and a commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
