Amazon Operative
We are looking for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join a busy distribution environment. This role involves preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity. Previous warehouse experience is useful but not essential, as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, good attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Your duties will include receiving and sorting stock, picking items using handheld scanners, packing orders securely and preparing parcels for dispatch. You may also be required to load and unload deliveries, move goods safely around the warehouse, replenish storage locations and complete general housekeeping tasks. You will follow workplace procedures, meet agreed performance targets and report any damaged, missing or incorrect stock to a supervisor. The role may involve regular lifting, standing and walking throughout the shift, so a good level of physical fitness is required.
Successful applicants must be punctual, dependable and willing to work flexible shifts, which may include evenings, weekends or public holidays depending on operational requirements. Good communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions are essential. You must also be committed to safe working practices, including the correct use of personal protective equipment and manual handling techniques.
