<h2>Job Description</h2><p>We are seeking an experienced Azure Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join our team. This customer-facing role is focused on helping clients define and realise their cloud transformation goals through Microsoft Azure. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will work closely with sales, account management, and delivery teams to identify opportunities, shape solutions, and develop compelling propositions across Application Modernisation, Data & Analytics, AI, and Cloud Platform services.<p>The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with commercial awareness, helping customers understand how Azure technologies can address business challenges while supporting revenue growth and strategic customer relationships.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Partner with sales and account teams to identify, qualify, and develop Azure-related opportunities.</li><li>Engage with customers to understand business objectives, technical challenges, and transformation priorities across applications, data, analytics, automation, and AI.</li><li>Lead customer discovery sessions, workshops, assessments, and architectural discussions.</li><li>Develop solution strategies, value propositions, and transformation roadmaps aligned to customer business outcomes.</li><li>Design high-level Azure solutions and target architectures that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.</li><li>Produce solution documentation, architecture diagrams, statements of work, project assumptions, estimates, and commercial proposals.</li><li>Deliver customer presentations, executive briefings, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept discussions.</li><li>Build business cases that articulate value, benefits, ROI, and key success measures.</li><li>Collaborate with Microsoft and strategic technology partners to develop joint opportunities and solution offerings.</li><li>Work alongside delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, deliverable, and aligned with customer expectations.</li><li>Support contract reviews and commercial discussions to ensure solution scope and assumptions are accurately represented.</li><li>Contribute to pipeline growth, account expansion, and cross-sell opportunities across the Azure portfolio.</li><li>Develop reusable pre-sales assets, reference architectures, case studies, and go-to-market materials.</li><li>Maintain awareness of emerging Azure, Data, AI, and Cloud technologies to provide thought leadership internally and externally.</li><li>Act as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the sales cycle, helping them navigate technical and business decisions.</li><li>Ensure a seamless transition from sales to delivery through effective knowledge transfer and stakeholder alignment.</li></ul><h2>Essential Skills</h2><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.</li><li>10+ years of experience in technology consulting, architecture, cloud services, or professional services.</li><li>5+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solution consulting, sales engineering, or client-facing architecture role.</li><li>Demonstrated experience supporting complex solution sales within Microsoft Azure environments.</li><li>Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including Application Modernisation, Cloud Native Development, Integration, Data Platforms, Analytics, and AI services.</li><li>experience creating solution architectures, commercial proposals, statements of work, and project estimates.</li><li>Strong customer engagement, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Proven ability to translate business requirements into compelling technical and commercial solutions.</li><li>experience contributing to RFx responses, competitive bids, and opportunity pursuits.</li><li>Strong presentation, communication, and proposal-writing skills.</li><li>Commercial awareness and the ability to articulate value, ROI, and business outcomes.</li><li>experience working closely with sales teams to influence and close opportunities.</li></ul><h2>Desirable Skills & Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.</li><li>Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure AI Engineer Associate, or other relevant Microsoft certifications.</li><li>experience with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and AI-enabled business solutions.</li><li>Understanding of cloud migration, application modernisation, and data transformation programmes.</li><li>experience developing effort estimates, project plans, and delivery assumptions.</li><li>Knowledge of professional services engagement models and consulting methodologies.</li><li>experience presenting to senior business and technical stakeholders, including C-suite audiences.</li><li>Strong understanding of current market trends across cloud, data, security, and AI.</li><li>Willingness to travel to customer locations as required.</li></ul><h2>Why Join Us?</h2><p>Join a leading technology services organisation where you'll play a key role in helping customers shape their cloud and AI transformation strategies.
