Bookkeeper (6-Month Temp contact / Maternity Cover) Location: Central London (Hybrid - 3 days office, 2 days home working) Salary: £18.00 - £23.00 per hour Contract: 6-Month Temporary Contract (Maternity Cover) Start Date: ASAP We are working with a highly successful and fast-paced international organisation that is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their finance team on a 6-month maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys a varied bookkeeping position involving reconciliations, payments, ledger maintenance and supporting a busy finance function. The successful candidate will work closely with senior finance stakeholders and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations. Key Responsibilities Perform daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts. Process and maintain bank charges, fees and interest payments. Administer supplier invoices and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained. Process payments and maintain accurate financial records within the finance system. Upload and maintain financial journals. Support the general ledger through journal postings and adjustments. Manage intercompany invoicing processes. Assist with monthly foreign exchange revaluations. Maintain electronic and physical financial records. Process and administer company expense claims. Provide ad hoc finance and administrative support to the wider team. What We're Looking For Previous experience in a Bookkeeper, Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role. Strong bank reconciliation experience. Confident processing invoices, payments and journals. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong Excel skills. Ability to manage a busy workload and work to deadlines. Experience using ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite would be advantageous. Available to start immediately or at short notice. What's on Offer Competitive hourly rate of £18 - £23 per hour.
