<p><strong>Business Development Manager | Facilities, Maintenance & Building Services | Fully Remote WFH | London Area | £40k-£60k p/a base + excellent bonuses</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> £40,000 - £60,000 Basic + Excellent Uncapped Commission + Company Car + Excellent Career Progression</p><p><br></p><p>Our client is a growing engineering business specialising in commercial air conditioning and building services across London and the surrounding areas. Following continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and help expand their commercial portfolio.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a genuine hunter role. If you enjoy opening new doors, building relationships and winning business from scratch rather than managing existing accounts, we'd like to hear from you.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p><br></p><p>You'll be responsible for identifying and developing new commercial opportunities across the M25 region, targeting Facilities Management companies, property managers, commercial landlords and end users.</p><p><br></p><p>Your primary focus will be securing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contracts, while also identifying opportunities for installation, refurbishment and reactive maintenance projects.</p><p><br></p><p>You'll take ownership of the early sales process—prospecting, qualifying opportunities, understanding client requirements and building relationships—before working alongside the Managing Director and technical team to deliver tailored engineering solutions.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.</li><li>Develop relationships with Facilities Management companies, managing agents and commercial property owners.</li><li>Identify opportunities for PPM maintenance contracts and project work.</li><li>Attend client meetings and site visits across the London area.</li><li>Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.</li><li>Work closely with the Managing Director to convert opportunities into long-term clients.</li><li>Consistently achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We're interested in speaking with experienced business development professionals who have successfully won new business within technical or facilities-related industries.</p><p><br></p><p>You could currently be selling within:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Facilities Management</li><li>Building Services</li><li>Mechanical & Electrical</li><li>HVAC / Air Conditioning</li><li>Electrical Services</li><li>Fire & Security</li><li>Lift Maintenance</li><li>Commercial Maintenance Services</li><li>Other related technical service sectors</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Most importantly, you'll have a proven track record of generating new business and developing long-term commercial relationships.</p><p><br></p><p>You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable discussing maintenance services with commercial clients and identifying opportunities before introducing the technical team.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What's on Offer</strong></p><ul><li>£40,000-£60,000 basic salary</li><li>5% uncapped commission on all sales</li><li>Company car</li><li>Remote working with client visits across the M25 region</li><li>Genuine opportunity to influence the growth of an expanding business</li><li>Small, agile team with direct access to senior leadership</li><li>Clear scope for progression as the company continues to grow</li></ul><p><br></p><p>If you're a driven Business Development Manager who enjoys winning new business and wants to play a key role in building an ambitious engineering company, we'd love to hear from you.</p>
