As part of Siemens, a global technology leader driving innovation in electrification, automation and digitalisation, we combine the agility of a specialist electrical manufacturer with the strength, investment and vision of a world-renowned organisation.<br><br>We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sustainable growth by developing relationships with key influencers across the contractor and specification community, securing project specifications and creating long-term demand for our market-leading products.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong>As a Business Development Manager, you will:<br><br><ul><li>Identify, target and develop relationships with key consultants and specifiers within your territory.</li><li>Influence project designs and secure product specifications to position Wylex and Crabtree as the preferred solution.</li><li>Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified project opportunities.</li><li>Work closely with Account Managers to ensure the successful handover and conversion of project opportunities through wholesale channels.</li><li>Monitor and manage project progress, maintaining regular engagement with key stakeholders to protect specifications.</li><li>Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, project progress and market intelligence to support forecasting and business planning.</li><li>Deliver annual specification value targets and contribute to business growth objectives.</li><li>Increase the penetration of Wylex and Crabtree products within targeted contractor and specifier accounts.</li><li>Act as a brand ambassador, promoting Electrium's solutions and strengthening our position within the electrical industry.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Essential Requirements<br><br></strong><strong>What We're Looking For<br><br></strong><ul><li>Proven experience selling into non-transactional customers and influencing buying decisions.</li><li>Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Commercial awareness with excellent negotiation skills.</li><li>Strong product and market awareness, with the ability to understand customer operating environments and identify suitable solutions.</li><li>Ability to build, manage and convert a pipeline of project opportunities.</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills.</li><li>A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and deliver against targets.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Desirable Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience working within the electrical installation, specification or building products market. </li><li>Experience working collaboratively across sales, account management and wider business functions.</li><li>A growth mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.</li><li>Team-oriented approach with a professional, customer-focused attitude.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What can we offer? <br><br></strong><ul><li>Performance-Based Bonus</li><li>Pension Plan: Secure your future with our generous pension scheme, with employer contributions up to 10%.</li><li>Time Off: Recharge and rejuvenate with 26 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays), and the option to buy or sell an additional 5 days!<br><br></li></ul><strong>We are fully committed to providing equal opportunities and building an inclusive workplace where a broad range of backgrounds and perspectives thrive.
