<ul><li><a href="" target="_blank">Full_Employment_Pack_-_Caretaker_and_Cleaner</a></li> </ul> <p>Please apply online via the link provided.</p> <p>Please note, we do not accept CVs submitted without a fully completed online application form.</p> <p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Caretaker and Cleaner<br><strong>Location of work:</strong> Woodhatch Community Centre<br><strong>Salary:</strong> £25,581 per annum (pro rata - £17,764 per annum)<br><strong>Basis: </strong> Permanent, Part time<br><strong>Hours:</strong> 25 Hours per week </p> <p>The postholder will be required to work as part of the team at the Centre in the role of caretaker and cleaner, as well as assisting with general tasks when required. They will be responsible for ensuring the building and its surroundings are kept clean, tidy and in good condition. They will be responsible for setting up rooms for different bookings, often with short room turnaround times. They will have a flexible approach and be a strong team player. </p> <p>The hours of work will vary depending on lettings, to include evenings and weekend working when required and cover for other caretaker’s annual leave and sickness when required. </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities of role:</strong><br>•    To maintain the building and surroundings to high standard of cleanliness and decoration. Responsible for keeping the car parking areas free of litter, the garden tidy and maintained.<br>•    To prepare the Centre for the various lettings as directed and remain on site during the lettings.<br>•    To prepare refreshment trollies if required by hirers. <br>•    To make the Centre ready for the next day after the lettings.<br>•    To be conversant with and regularly test the fire and security system. To be a key holder and be available to open and close the Centre when required and ensure that it is left secure when not in use.<br>•    To provide assistance to Centre users to ensure their comfort, safety and welfare.<br>•    To undertake simple DIY tasks and decorating.<br>•    To be able to instruct hirers in the use of Centre equipment.<br>•    To monitor supplies, place orders, accept and check deliveries and arrange neat, safe storage.<br>•    To assist the manager as required in all things to ensure the good running of the Centre.<br>•    Be committed to customer care and take pride in helping to provide a happy and well-run facility as a strong team player.<br>•    To be willing to work at other Centres on an ad hoc basis should the need for cover arise. </p> <p><strong>Behaviours:  </strong><br>•    You will be highly motivated and capable.<br>•    Are capable of working well on your own and as be a supportive member of a team.<br>•    Adaptable to the task in hand and willing to learn.<br>•    You are confident to make process improvement suggestions where necessary.</p> <p><strong>Staff Benefits</strong><br>In exchange for your expertise, experience and enthusiasm, we will offer support in continuing your personal and career development, in addition to providing a wide range of employment linked benefits. </p> <p>We provide you with competitive annual leave, and contribute 22.10% towards the LGPS pension scheme.
