Serve as a representative of the Children in Need Trust at the BBC and actively promote its mission and goals. Attend regular board meetings and actively participate in discussions and decision-making processes. Help develop and implement strategies to raise funds and awareness for disadvantaged children and young people. Provide guidance and support to the organization's executive team on matters related to fundraising, programming, and budgeting. Act as a steward for the organization's resources and ensure they are being used effectively and ethically. Use your expertise and experience to advise on best practices and innovative ideas to further the organization's impact. Work collaboratively with fellow trustees to make decisions that benefit the organization and its beneficiaries. Engage in networking and relationship building to expand the organization's reach and impact. Keep up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and policies that may affect the organization's operations. Act as an ambassador for the organization, representing it at events and in the media. Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity in all aspects of the role. Actively participate in fundraising activities and use your network to secure donations and support for the organization. Stay informed about the latest research and developments in the field of children's welfare and use this knowledge to inform the organization's work. Help recruit and train new trustees, ensuring the board has a diverse range of skills and expertise.
