<p><strong>Job Description</strong></p> <p><strong>Royal Mail Parcel Sorter - Atherstone Parcel Sorting Centre</strong></p> <p><strong>Morning Shift - 6am to 2pm </strong></p> <p><strong>£15.14 p/h</strong></p> <p><strong>Coach Transport from Leicester City Centre</strong></p> <p>Pertemps is supporting Royal Mail with warehouse recruitment at Atherstone Parcel Sorting Centre.</p> <p>This is a temporary, hands-on role within a busy parcel operation, with additional shifts potentially available during busier periods. </p> <p><strong>Job Role:</strong></p> <p>As a Parcel Sorter, you will work as part of a busy team handling parcels and mail within the sorting centre. </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Unloading mail and parcels from vehicles. <ul> <li>Moving parcels and mail through the sorting centre. </li> <li>Sorting letters, parcels and other postal items. </li> <li>Loading and moving mail bags and parcels. </li> <li>Ensuring items are handled safely and efficiently. </li> <li>Working to tight deadlines in a busy environment. </li> <li>Moving between different tasks as required during your shift. </li> <li>Working effectively as part of a team. </li> <li>Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment. </li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>The role is physically demanding and involves being on your feet for most of the shift.</strong></p> <p><strong>You must be comfortable with:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Pushing trolleys weighing up to 25kg. <ul> <li>Lifting and moving mail bags weighing up to 11kg. </li> <li>Standing and walking for extended periods. </li> <li>Working in a fast-paced warehouse/sorting environment. </li> <li>Repeated lifting, moving and sorting of parcels and mail. </li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Working Hours: </strong></p> <p>You will be required to work at least 5 shifts/ week (Monday to Sunday)</p> <ul> <li>Morning Shift - 6am to 2pm - £15.14ph </li> </ul> <p><strong>Paid Travel Time:</strong></p> <p><strong>You will receive 2 hours of paid travel time per shift, paid at your shift pay rate.</strong></p> <p><strong>Important Information:</strong><br /><strong>Before proceeding with your application, please ensure that:</strong></p> <p> </p><ul> <li>You can commit to the assignment from the expected start date until the end of the assignment. <ul> <li>You are flexible to work across the required shift patterns. </li> <li>You can work weekends when required. </li> <li>You are comfortable working additional shifts where required. </li> <li>You are physically able to undertake the duties described above. </li> <li>You can travel by the provided coach from Leicester City Centre to the Atherstone Parcel Sorting Centre. </li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p>If you are interested in this Seasonal Mail Sorter role, based in Atherstone, please call the Leicester branch today, .</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?MitBHd1qY9%2fJYZmgAr2fxwp" width="0" height="0" />
