Lead and drive the clinical development of AstraZeneca's pulmonology portfolio, with a specific focus on vaccines and immune therapies. Develop and implement strategic plans for the clinical development of pulmonology products, in alignment with company goals and objectives. Provide expert guidance and oversight to cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and reporting of clinical trials. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, as well as internal policies and procedures. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and external stakeholders in the field of pulmonology. Collaborate closely with other departments, such as regulatory affairs and commercial, to ensure successful product development and launch. Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements and competitive landscape in the field of pulmonology and leverage this knowledge to inform decision-making. Manage and mentor a team of clinical professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities. Monitor and track clinical trial progress and milestones, identifying and addressing any issues or risks. Communicate regularly with senior management and present updates on clinical development progress, challenges, and opportunities. Represent AstraZeneca at external conferences and meetings, showcasing the company's expertise and thought leadership in pulmonology. Contribute to the development of the pulmonology portfolio strategy and provide insights and recommendations for future pipeline products. Collaborate with other global clinical heads and senior leadership to ensure consistency and alignment across projects and regions. Ensure high-quality clinical data is generated and reported, in line with company and regulatory standards.
