What to expect

The Product Governance Manager is responsible for the daytoday execution and coordination of Product Governance activities across Post Office Insurances product portfolio ensuring compliance with FCA PROD 4 and Consumer Duty requirements.

The role supports the Head of Product Governance by operating core governance processes across the product lifecycle including product approvals inlife reviews fair value assessments and outcome testing.

Acting as a firstline control function the Product Governance Manager ensures governance activity is wellevidenced consistently applied and effectively embedded within Product and Commercial role has responsibility for identifying escalating and supporting the remediation of product conduct and customer outcome risks including potential foreseeable harm.

What youll need to succeed

The successful candidate for this role will have demonstrable experience in Product Governance Conduct Risk Compliance Product Management or a related role within insurance or financial addition to this you will have:

  • Strong working knowledge of FCA Product Governance (PROD 4) requirements within insurance or financial services.
  • Practical understanding of Consumer Duty including fair value outcome testing and evidencing customer outcomes.
  • Good understanding of insurance products pricing structures and distribution models.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to critically review documentation and MI.
  • Ability to interpret data performance metrics and value assessments to identify risks and issues
  • Experience supporting or delivering product approvals inlife reviews and fair value assessments.
  • Experience working within regulated governance and committee structures.
  • Relevant professional qualification desirable (e.g. insurance compliance risk conduct or productrelated qualification).
