Interim Investment & Business Development Adviser Role

Contract: Interim 12 Months

Hours: Full Time

Location: Kenya – Remote with occasional travel to Nairobi and regionally

Remuneration: Circa. $73,568 to $84,548 p.a.

· Non contractual bonus of up to 10% of base pay (subject to organisation and individual performance).

· Plus, medical benefits (health cover, life cover).

The Role

We are seeking an Interim Investment & Business Development Adviser to join the Transporters portfolio, focusing on e‑mobility solutions. Based in Kenya, the successful candidate will identify, evaluate and manage investment and partnership opportunities that materially increase transporters’ incomes across Africa, with selective engagement in South Asia.

The role spans the full investment lifecycle, including origination, due diligence, deal structuring and negotiation, investment approval, partnership management and exit. The Adviser will also contribute to portfolio strategy development and the annual business plan, working closely with internal teams and external partners.

This role is offered on an interim basis for 12 months, with flexible remote working arrangements and regular travel across regions where SF operates, including Africa, Asia and the UK.

About You

Skills & Experience

· Significant professional experience, including substantial experience working in Africa and some exposure to South Asia

· Experience in investment, corporate development, strategy consulting, entrepreneurial growth or leading complex commercial initiatives

· Experience across investment origination, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, proposal development and partnership management

· Strong commercial and financial analytical skills

· Ability to design, negotiate and deliver complex projects with multiple stakeholders

· Interest or experience in sustainable development or impact investing

· Networks in Africa, South Asia and/or the energy or e‑mobility sector are advantageous

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field (essential)

· Postgraduate qualification in Business, Finance or a related discipline (desirable)
