About Business Banking:

We’re looking to hire a product manager to join the Business Banking collective.

Business Banking launched 4 years ago with the idea of bringing the very best of Monzo to small businesses. Since then, it has grown into an award-winning offering, serving over 400,000 UK businesses.

We’re now gearing up for our next phase of growth with substantial investment into our product offering to support our ambitious plans.

As the product lead for growth in business banking, you will play a crucial role in defining and executing strategies that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.

That means you’ll:

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, data, user research, and marketing to identify new growth opportunities, launch experiments, and iterate.
  • Create delightful experiences that solve user needs and pain points.
  • Communicate effectively. You get people inspired by the product vision and you share the right context with the right people at the right time.
  • Lead the planning process and associated roadmap prioritization ensuring alignment within the team and with wider business goals and objectives.
  • Work with cross-functional partners (engineering, design, data, user research, and marketing) to ensure projects are delivered on time and as planned.
  • Set clear goals and track progress against targets.

The interview process:

Our interview process typically involves 4 main stages:

  • Initial call with hiring manager
  • Experience Loop consisting of x3 interviews. This includes a Case Study, Project Walkthrough, and a Values interview
  • Final chat with a senior leader at Monzo

Our average process takes around 3-5 weeks but we will always work around your availability. We are recruiting a HR Compliance Team Lead er to work as part of our HR Operations team delivers compliance activity in the main areas of 

  • Home Office Immigration and Right to Work and Pre-Employment Vetting
  • Solicitors Regulation and Registration
  • Visa and Sponsorship Licenses
  • Co-ordination of HR Data Subject Rights Requests
  • Demonstrate compliance adherence to ISO27001 and other accreditations as required for internal and external auditing requirements

Our standard working ho urs are 9.30am-5.30pm, h owever, we are happy to consider flexible working requests. 

Candidate Overview

We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience: 

  • Subject matter expert on UK right to work requirements and a point of contact and escalation for the business.
  • Manage the complete visa lifecycle of non-EEA employees sponsored by the Firm. Provide advisory support throughout the initial process then continue to be the key contact for visa related queries and tasks relating this this employee type.
  • Oversee the processing of Tier 5 GAE visa applications.
  • Assume responsibility for the Firm’s sponsorship licences, including, ensuring that migrant activity is reported in line with the immigration rules, co-ordinating and submitting applications to renew licences, informing UKVI of changes within the business that may affect the Firm’s sponsorship licences.
  • Lead the planning, processing and delivery of all HR Data Subject Rights Requests. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; co-ordinating team to ensure adequate resourcing, liaising with the HR Director and relevant Group HR contact, liaise with Firm’s Privacy team, ensuring clear instructions are given IT/Finance where required, ensure the Data Subject remains informed throughout the process, assist with compiling the requested information where necessary.
  • Supervise the management, security, retention and destruction of all hard copy and electronic employee data.
  • Ensure that the implications of the Data Protection Act 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation and the Firm's Privacy Policy are considered throughout all processes
  • Continuously review all employee vetting processes.
  • Evaluate effectiveness, monitor costs and seek feedback from internal users and external candidates.
  • Review the HR risk register and regularly review levels of risk within the business based around compliance activities.
  • Investigate and explore resolutions surrounding incidents reported on the Information Security Forum. Recommend preventative measures where necessary.
  • Lead the liaison with relevant law societies to ensure that renewals and membership administration is completed to ensure that the firm complies within the regulatory framework of each jurisdiction.
