Legal Assistant-Remote

£25,500 to £35,000 per year | 30 hours per week | Flexible Working | Fully Remote Role | Part time option available.

About the role

I’m looking for someone who understands law, but is also interested in business, commercial work and how things actually work in the real world.

This isn’t a traditional legal assistant or graduate role where you’ll spend your days doing one repetitive task after another, sat in an office and no one knows you exist.

You’ll work directly with me, Regan Spence and have direct contact with clients.

RCS works across mentoring, business advisory and legal advice, so our clients aren’t all property investors. Many are business owners, entrepreneurs, barristers and professionals dealing with commercial issues within their own businesses.

Some days might involve reviewing a contract or carrying out legal research. Another might involve helping with a business dilemma, researching a legal or regulatory issue, finding information on a company via social media, preparing documents for a client, sitting in on a M&A negotiation or assisting me with a commercial problem.

Why RCS?

This job offers something that is rare on the current job market and especially within the law. Im offering a role that is 30 hours a week in return for full time pay. The role is fully remote and offering flexible working, including the option for part time hours.

I’m not interested in building another corporate environment full of unnecessary meetings, corporate jargon and bureaucracy. There is enough of that already.

I care about getting the work done , not whether you are sitting at a desk at 9am.

Want to work from home? Fine.

Want to work from a coffee shop? Fine.

Want to spend a week in Spain with your laptop? As long as the work gets done, I genuinely don’t care.

You’ll work directly with me and get exposure to law, property, business, entrepreneurs, commercial transactions and real client problems. You’ll also get proper training, mentoring and the opportunity to learn from someone who is actually doing the work, rather than being handed a textbook and left to figure it out.

You won’t be a number on a spreadsheet.

Who I’m looking for

You might be a law graduate, legal assistant or paralegal.

Don’t be put off if you do not have any work experience. I care more about who you are than what you know.

More importantly, I want someone who is:

A genuinely good researcher, including across social media Can present their personality in written text Naturally curious to learn Organised and reliable Has the ability to think outside the box, not just use AI to do it for them Questions things and challenges the status quo Comfortable speaking to people Interested in law, business and commercial matters Able to work independently without needing everything explained ten times Has a UK LLB in Law or GDL with LPC/SQE route. What you’ll be doing

This will include things such as:

A lot of research, including utilising social media Reviewing contracts and commercial documents Presenting your findings, ideas or input Property and Land Registry research where relevant Preparing documents and information for clients Communicating with clients and professional contacts Tracking billable hours and maintaining accurate client records Preparing and issuing client invoices Supporting the administration of legal client matters Helping improve how RCS operates as it grows

You don’t need to know everything. I’d rather have someone intelligent, curious and willing to learn than someone who thinks they already know everything.

That’s what will make you stand out!

Pay: £25,500.00-£35,000.00 per year

Company pension Employee mentoring programme Financial planning services Referral programme Sick pay Work from home

Having done that, what is it about RCS, Regan or the role that genuinely made you want to apply? Tell me what you found, what stood out to you and why.
