Job Summary

Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Loading & Unloading Sorter Packer Picker Warehouse Operative! Responsibilities

  • Load and unload shipments safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques
  • Sort incoming and outgoing goods accurately according to product type, destination, and priority
  • Pack items securely for shipping, ensuring protection during transit and adherence to quality standards
  • Pick items from stock based on order requirements, verifying quantities and product specifications
  • Stock shelves efficiently, maintaining organized storage areas for quick retrieval and inventory accuracy
  • Conduct quality control checks to identify damaged or defective items before dispatch
  • Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements, update stock levels, and generate reports
  • Assist with mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting of warehouse equipment when necessary
Experience
  • Previous warehouse experience or similar logistics roles preferred but not essential; training will be provided for motivated candidates
  • Familiarity with materials handling techniques, including heavy lifting and safe manual handling practices
  • Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery is advantageous; forklift certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is beneficial
  • Understanding of shipping & receiving procedures to ensure timely processing of goods
  • Mechanical knowledge or aptitude for equipment maintenance enhances your suitability for this role
  • Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and load/unload operations consistently and safely
