Marketplace Executive

Marketplace Executive

Location: London
Department: Commercial / New Business
Reporting to: Head of New Business / Partnerships
Working pattern: Full-time, office-based

The Role

OMNES is looking for a commercially minded and highly organised Marketplace Executive to support the rapid growth of our UK and international marketplace business.

This is a hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day management, launch and trading of our marketplace partners. You will work across the business to make sure products are launched accurately and on time, stock and pricing are correct, trading opportunities are maximised and marketplace performance is closely monitored.

The role will suit someone who understands both the operational and commercial sides of marketplace trading and enjoys taking ownership and getting things done.

Key Responsibilities

Marketplace Management

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of OMNES marketplace accounts across the UK and international markets.

  • Support marketplaces including ASOS, Zalando, About You, Galeries Lafayette, La Redoute and other new partners as they are launched.

  • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for marketplace partners.

  • Maintain strong relationships with marketplace trading and operational teams.

  • Ensure all marketplace requirements, deadlines and SLAs are met.

New Marketplace Launches

  • Own the operational onboarding of new marketplace partners from signed agreement through to go-live.

  • Coordinate product set-up, imagery, copy, attributes, pricing, stock feeds and technical requirements.

  • Manage launch timelines and ensure internal teams are clear on responsibilities and deadlines.

  • Identify and resolve issues that could delay partner launches.

  • Work closely with internal and external technical teams on integrations and marketplace feeds.

Trading & Commercial Performance

  • Monitor marketplace sales daily and identify opportunities to improve performance.

  • Track revenue against weekly, monthly and annual targets.

  • Analyse performance by partner, product, category and territory.

  • Identify best sellers, underperforming products, stock opportunities and areas of lost sales.

  • Work with Buying and Merchandising to ensure the right stock is available for each marketplace.

  • Recommend opportunities for assortment expansion, replenishment and partner-specific activity.

  • Support promotional calendars and marketplace campaigns while protecting margin and brand positioning.

Product & Catalogue Management

  • Ensure marketplace product listings are accurate, complete and consistent with OMNES brand standards.

  • Manage product uploads, pricing, imagery, descriptions and product attributes.

  • Monitor rejected or suppressed products and resolve issues quickly.

  • Ensure new collections and drops are available across partners in line with agreed launch dates.

  • Maintain strong catalogue availability and minimise products being unavailable because of feed or operational issues.

Stock, Orders & Operations

  • Monitor marketplace stock feeds and availability.

  • Work closely with Operations and the warehouse to resolve fulfilment, cancellation and stock-sync issues.

  • Monitor order flow and identify operational problems before they materially affect sales.

  • Track returns and cancellation rates by marketplace.

  • Work with the wider team to improve marketplace returns performance.

  • Escalate recurring operational issues and drive them through to resolution.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Produce a clear weekly marketplace trading report covering:

    • Revenue by partner

    • Performance versus target

    • Best and worst sellers

    • Stock availability

    • Returns

    • Cancellations

    • Marketplace contribution/margin

    • Upcoming launches and activity

    • Key risks and opportunities

  • Provide recommendations alongside the numbers rather than simply reporting performance.

  • Maintain an accurate marketplace launch and trading calendar.

Key KPIs

Performance will be measured against:

  • Marketplace net revenue versus target

  • Successful and on-time launch of new marketplace partners

  • Sales growth by marketplace

  • Contribution and margin by partner

  • Product availability

  • Marketplace return rate

  • Cancellation rate

  • Accuracy and speed of product launches

  • Marketplace catalogue completeness

  • Speed of resolving operational issues

  • Delivery of promotional and trading opportunities

About You

We are looking for someone who is commercial, analytical and extremely organised.

You will ideally have:

  • 2–4 years’ experience within ecommerce, marketplaces or digital trading, ideally within fashion.

  • Experience working directly with major marketplaces or online retailers.

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.

  • Experience working with product feeds, marketplace portals or ecommerce integrations.

  • A good understanding of stock, merchandising, pricing and promotional activity.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • The ability to manage multiple marketplace launches and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Confidence working cross-functionally with Buying, Merchandising, Ecommerce, Operations, Finance and Marketing.

  • A proactive approach — identifying problems and fixing them rather than waiting to be instructed.

  • Strong commercial judgement and an understanding that marketplace growth must be profitable growth.

Experience with platforms such as Mirakl, ChannelEngine or similar marketplace technology would be beneficial.
