HIRING: Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (MEP Design) | 100% Remote<br><br><strong>Design the Future of Building Systems From Anywhere<br><br></strong>We are seeking an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join a growing MEP consulting firm supporting projects across healthcare, education, commercial, retail, multifamily, and institutional markets.<br><br>This is a 100% remote opportunity, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating with a highly respected engineering team on a diverse portfolio of building projects.<br><br>The ideal candidate has experience designing building systems within an MEP consulting environment and is comfortable taking projects from initial calculations and system layouts through construction documents and multidisciplinary coordination.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Design mechanical or electrical building systems for commercial, healthcare, educational, retail, multifamily, and institutional facilities.</li><li>Develop HVAC, plumbing, power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and other building system designs depending on discipline.</li><li>Perform engineering calculations, load analyses, equipment sizing, and code compliance reviews.</li><li>Prepare construction documents, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.</li><li>Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to develop and coordinate engineering drawings.</li><li>Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, plumbing, fire protection, and other engineering disciplines.</li><li>Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, energy codes, industry standards, and project requirements.</li><li>Participate in design reviews and provide technical solutions throughout all phases of a project.</li><li>Support project management activities including scheduling, coordination, and client communication.</li><li>Assist during construction through submittal reviews, RFIs, and field-related design support.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.</li><li>5+ years of MEP consulting experience focused on building system design.</li><li>Experience designing mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing) or electrical systems (power, lighting, distribution).</li><li>Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience highly preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of building codes, energy standards, and engineering best practices.</li><li>Excellent communication and project coordination skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects while working independently in a remote environment.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>EIT or PE License.</li><li>Experience supporting healthcare, education, commercial, retail, institutional, or multifamily projects.</li><li>Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, power distribution, lighting, or building infrastructure systems.</li><li>Experience with construction administration, submittals, and RFIs.</li><li>Client-facing and project management experience.</li><li>Experience coordinating multidisciplinary MEP projects.<br><br></li></ul>What We Offer<br><br><ul><li>100% Remote Work Environment</li><li>Competitive Base Salary + Performance Incentives</li><li>Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits</li><li>Generous PTO and Paid Holidays</li><li>Professional Development and Continuing Education Support</li><li>Clear Career Growth Path</li><li>Long-Term Stability with a Strong Backlog of Projects<br><br></li></ul><strong>Job Type & Location<br><br></strong>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, NY.<br><br><strong>Pay And Benefits<br><br></strong>The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $140000.00/hr.<br><br>Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.<br><br>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
