You will own defined product design projects from understanding the problem through exploration, design, validation, handover and implementation, combining strong UX, UI and interaction design skills with a high level of craft. You will work closely with the UX & Optimisation Manager, Developers, Business Analysts, Product teams, Trading, Analytics and other stakeholders to deliver polished, scalable and development-ready experiences across our website and mobile app. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>📅 Here's the exciting bit… A day includes: </strong></p><p>As a Product Designer, you will create clear, engaging and accessible digital experiences that meet the needs of our customers while supporting Superdrug’s commercial and digital objectives. You will own defined product design projects from understanding the problem through exploration, design, validation, handover and implementation, combining strong UX, UI and interaction design skills with a high level of craft. You will work closely with the UX & Optimisation Manager, Developers, Business Analysts, Product teams, Trading, Analytics and other stakeholders to deliver polished, scalable and development-ready experiences across our website and mobile app. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>📝 Key Responsibilities </strong></p><ul><li>Owning defined product design projects from problem understanding through to design, validation and implementation. </li><li>Translating customer needs, business requirements and insight into user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs. </li><li>Designing polished and responsive experiences across web and app, considering hierarchy, interaction states, edge cases and accessibility. </li><li>Creating and refining reusable components, patterns and variants as part of Superdrug’s digital design system, improving consistency and scalability across journeys. </li><li>Preparing clear, development-ready designs that communicate responsive behaviour, component usage, interactions and key requirements. </li><li>Collaborating closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product teams and other stakeholders throughout delivery to resolve design challenges and ensure solutions are implemented effectively. </li><li>Reviewing implemented experiences and supporting design QA to maintain a high level of quality in what reaches customers. </li><li>Using customer research, usability testing, competitor analysis, analytics and behavioural insight to inform design decisions and identify optimisation opportunities. </li><li>Presenting design work, explaining design decisions and contributing to workshops and cross-functional discussions. </li><li>Managing multiple design projects and priorities while delivering work to agreed timelines. </li><li>Customer Focus: Be the voice of customers and orchestrate the organisation to live the brand purpose and inspire a customer-first culture to build customer love in every touchpoint of our online and offline platform. </li><li>Tech & AI: Helping your team understand when to use AI, when to rely on human judgment, and how to combine both. </li></ul><li></li><p><strong>✅ This job portfolio that demonstrates strong UX thinking, UI and interaction design, and examples of work taken from problem definition through to implementation. </li><li>You have a strong eye for visual detail and care about hierarchy, spacing, responsive behaviour, interaction states and overall design quality. </li><li>You are comfortable taking ownership of projects, making day-to-day design decisions and progressing work independently while knowing when to seek input. </li><li>You think beyond individual screens and consider the wider customer journey, reusable patterns and how your work fits within a broader digital experience. </li><li>You are collaborative, customer focused and comfortable balancing customer needs, commercial objectives, technical constraints and delivery requirements. </li><li>Ensures the team prioritizes actions which delight the customer/team member </li><li>Can manage tough/complex messages with all stakeholders. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>🛠️ What you’ll need: </strong></p><ul><li>Experience designing and delivering customer-facing digital products, supported by a strong Product Design or UX/UI portfolio. </li><li>Strong UI and interaction design skills, including wireframing, prototyping and high-fidelity interface design. </li><li>Experience designing responsive experiences across web and mobile. </li><li>Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, variables and well-structured reusable design patterns. </li><li>Experience working with or contributing to a design system or component library. </li><li>Experience preparing development-ready designs and collaborating directly with Developers through implementation. </li><li>Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles, including familiarity with WCAG guidelines. </li><li>Experience using customer research, usability testing, analytics or behavioural insight to inform design decisions. </li><li>Strong communication, collaboration and organisational skills, with the ability to independently manage defined projects and multiple priorities. </li><li>Experience within eCommerce, retail, marketplaces, travel or another high-traffic customer-facing digital environment would be beneficial but is not essential. </li><li>Experience with native apps, experimentation, A/B testing, conversion optimisation or tools such as UserTesting, Quantum Metric, GA4 or similar would be advantageous. </li></ul><p><strong>The character we’re looking for:</strong> </p><ul><li>You are a craft-focused designer who cares about
