If you’re a Personal Trainer who’s ambitious and caring, you’ll love being a part of Nuffield Health. As the UK’s largest Healthcare Charity, we offer somewhere you can grow while you’re making a lasting difference to people’s lives. There is no requirement to pay a fee to train clients at our facilities, and in addition we will never ask you to work for free to access our gym floor or our members.

As a Personal Trainer at our gym, you’re outgoing, approachable & confident in the service you provide. Whether you’ve been training for a while or just recently qualified, it’s important that you’ve achieved REPs Level 3 or CIMSPA Practitioner (or above). A natural communicator, you’re great at listening, understanding and explaining things. You’ll have the option for full-time or part-time employment.

We’ll provide you with 8 hours of paid gym floor hours each week to support you to grow your Personal Training client base. During these hours you’ll maintain a high standard gym environment for our members across all age ranges, and provide them with a full range of free to access services including inductions, health checks, taster sessions & group exercise. By providing these services to our members you provide yourself with the opportunity to grow your client base. Once you have established yourself as an accomplished Personal Trainer you can request to reduce your gym floor hours to allow you more available time to train your clients.

As a Personal Trainer or Wellbeing Personal Trainer, you will:

  • Have full access to Nuffield Health’s incredible range of services
  • Be present on our gym floor to connect with and motivate members to reach their fitness goals and maintain a healthier lifestyle
  • Be confident about delivering a range of sessions to a variety of populations
  • Carry out high-quality inductions, “Personal Best” health check appointments, group exercise, personal training sessions and general gym duties
  • Have the opportunity for further training including how to deliver Personal Best health check, upskilling to Les Mills instructor and group cycle, plus additional CPD opportunities including but not limited to building your brand to grow a PT client base, advanced programming tools, nutrition for health and performance, how to influence long term change in your clients and managing training load for clients with pain and/or injury.

Your earning will increase as you establish your PT clients and improve your earning potential. PT sessions have a sliding scale, the more you deliver the more your take home earning potential is. There is no upper limit on the number of personal training sessions you can deliver. After initial 3 months of employment, there is an expectation for a Wellbeing Personal Trainer role to maintain a minimum average session delivery of 8 sessions each week. More details will be discussed at interview stage, if your application is progressed.

As part of the qualification requirement of this role all candidates need to be a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and hold a current CIMSPA membership at Personal Trainer Practitioner level, failure to provide will mean that your application cannot be progressed, and we cannot employ you until you have met this requirement. Please note, you will be requested to show evidence of your CIMPSA certification at interview stage.
