PSYCHOTHERAPISTS, COUNSELLORS & PSYCHOLOGISTS

WE’RE HIRING: PSYCHOTHERAPISTS, COUNSELLORS & PSYCHOLOGISTS

Individual | Couples | Family Therapy

Location: UK-wide, Remote

Employment: Freelance

Fee: £40 / £50 per session

About The Nest Club

Specialist therapy for relationships, fertility, parenthood and family life. For life today. Founded in 2018, The Nest Club is a specialist psychotherapy practice supporting individuals, couples and families through some of the most significant, complicated and emotionally demanding periods of their lives.

From relationships and fertility treatment to pregnancy, loss, becoming a parent, raising a family, separation and divorce, we provide high-quality, accessible therapy for the things people are really living through.

That might mean a relationship that's struggling. An affair or loss of trust. IVF that is taking over someone's life. A relationship under the pressure of trying to conceive. Anxiety during pregnancy. Birth trauma or baby loss. Feeling completely unlike yourself after becoming a parent. Two people who have somehow become co-parents rather than partners. Parenting overwhelm. Conflict within a family. Separation or divorce. Learning how to co-parent after a relationship ends. Navigating a blended family. Returning to work. Or simply reaching a point where something needs to change.

Our work is inclusive of different relationships, families and routes to creating a family — including heterosexual and LGBTQ+ couples, solo parents, blended and stepfamilies, donor conception, fertility treatment and surrogacy.

Our mission is to significantly improve the mental wellbeing of individuals, parents, partners and families through excellent, affordable and inclusive psychotherapy and counselling.

And we're growing.

Who We're Looking For

We're building a carefully selected team of individual, couples and family therapists who combine excellent clinical practice with warmth, humanity and genuine specialist understanding.

You may work with individuals, couples or families — or, as many therapists do, across more than one of these areas.

We're particularly interested in therapists with experience in one or more of:

Couples and relationship therapy

Family therapy

Relationship difficulties and recurring conflict

Communication and emotional disconnection

Intimacy and psychosexual difficulties

Infidelity, affairs and rebuilding trust

Relationship crisis and breakdown

Separation and divorce

Discernment and decision-making around whether to stay together

Co-parenting during and after separation

Parenting across two homes

Blended families and stepfamilies

Family conflict and changing family dynamics

Premarital and pre-commitment therapy

Fertility, IVF and assisted conception

Donor conception and surrogacy

Pregnancy and antenatal mental health

Perinatal and postnatal mental health

Miscarriage, termination, baby loss and reproductive grief

Birth trauma

Transition to parenthood

Relationships after children

Parenting and parental burnout

Family and systemic therapy

LGBTQ+ relationships and family formation

Trauma

Grief and loss

Identity and major life transitions

Returning to work following maternity or paternity leave

We don't expect one therapist to specialise in everything. We are building a multidisciplinary team where different areas of expertise sit alongside and strengthen one another.

The Nest Club Clinical Standard

We want The Nest Club to be known for the quality, depth and experience of its therapists. We are looking for therapists who feel passionately about making change in this space.

You will be:

QUALIFIED & PROFESSIONALLY REGISTERED/ACCREDITED

Fully qualified and appropriately registered or accredited with BACP, UKCP, HCPC, BPS, BABCP, COSRT, NCPS or another recognised professional body.

EXPERIENCED

We are ideally looking for therapists with a minimum of three years' post-qualification clinical experience and evidence of thoughtful, established clinical practice.

SPECIALIST

You should have demonstrable experience in at least one area relevant to The Nest Club's work.

Additional specialist training is particularly welcomed, including qualifications or training in couples therapy, systemic/family therapy, fertility counselling, perinatal mental health, psychosexual therapy, trauma, loss, separation and divorce, and reproductive mental health.

RELATIONAL

Qualifications matter, but so does how you sit with another human being.

We're looking for therapists who are warm, curious, emotionally intelligent and able to build genuine therapeutic relationships online. People who can listen deeply, tolerate complexity and combine empathy with appropriate challenge.

INCLUSIVE & CULTURALLY CONSCIOUS

Our clients have different identities, relationships, cultures, histories and ways of creating and being a family. We want therapists who are interested not simply in receiving referrals, but in helping us build an exceptional modern psychotherapy practice. Ultimately, we're looking for people who care deeply about doing good therapy.

People who understand that expertise and humanity aren't opposites.

Who know their theory but don't hide behind jargon.

Who can sit with grief, anger, ambivalence, shame, love, resentment and uncertainty without rushing to make them disappear.

Who understand that relationships change. That becoming parents can bring people closer together or expose cracks that were already there. That loving someone doesn't always mean a relationship can continue. That separation and divorce can contain grief, relief, fear and hope all at once. That ending a relationship doesn't necessarily end a family. That learning to co-parent, rebuilding a life or creating a blended family can require just as much emotional support as creating a family in the first place. And who understand that desperately wanting a baby doesn't make fertility treatment any less brutal; that loving your children doesn't mean you can't miss who you were before them; and that relationships and families rarely fit neatly into boxes.

If that sounds like the way you practise, we'd really like to hear from you.

Applications

Please send your CV and a short covering note telling us:

Your therapeutic modality and qualifications

Your professional registration/accreditation

Whether you work with individuals, couples and/or families - this should be in the subject line

Your specialist clinical interests and additional training

Your post-qualification experience

What draws you to working with The Nest Club

Shortlisted applicants will be asked to provide evidence of qualifications, professional registration, insurance, DBS, supervision and right to work, together with two professional references.

Email: hello@thenestclub.co.uk

The Nest Club welcomes therapists from all backgrounds and identities. We particularly want our clinical team to reflect the diversity of the individuals, couples and families we support.
