Remote Data Entry & Software Integration Engineer

to join our Scheduling Recovery System (SRS) team. This role sits at the intersection of data entry, software development, and AI‑driven automation, supporting the end‑to‑end lifecycle of airline schedule recovery. You will work closely with product managers, digital technology specialists, business analysts, and analytics engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable solutions that reduce disruption costs, improve customer experience, and optimize resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners and cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications for the SRS platform.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance micro‑services and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
  • Implement data entry pipelines and validation routines that ingest flight‑schedule data, ensuring accuracy and completeness before downstream processing.
  • Design and execute unit tests, integration tests, and code reviews to guarantee high‑quality, production‑ready software.
  • Leverage AI/ML models (Python‑based) to automate routine data‑entry tasks and improve predictive scheduling capabilities.
  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines on AWS (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy) to enable rapid, reliable releases.
  • Maintain and evolve the micro‑services architecture, including containerization with Docker/ECS and serverless components (AWS Lambda).
  • Integrate messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka, TIBCO, and IBM MQ to enable real‑time data flow across the scheduling ecosystem.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies—sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives—and contribute to continuous process improvement.
  • Mentor junior developers and, when required, supervise a small team of contractors focused on utility development.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production incidents, and implement root‑cause fixes to maintain high availability.
  • Document technical designs, API contracts, and operational runbooks for knowledge sharing across global teams.
