Senior Environmental Technician

<strong>The Vacancy<br><br></strong><strong>RSK Raw</strong> part of the RSK Group have an exciting new opportunity for a <strong>Senior Environmental Technician</strong> to join our team in <strong>Kingsclere, Newbury, UK.<br><br></strong>RSK RAW offers multi-disciplinary environmental protection and risk reduction services to a wide range of industries and clients across the UK, and are specialists in the provision of spill response, contamination investigation and remediation projects.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Environmental spill response to a variety of sites.</li><li>General groundworks and construction works alongside colleagues.</li><li>Fuel Tank inspections.</li><li>Support and lead additional fieldwork including installation and maintenance of site equipment, and supervision of subcontractors.</li><li>Maintenance and/or calibration of equipment and vehicles at offices.</li><li>Stock and waste management.</li><li>Adherence to health and safety procedures.</li><li>Maintain accurate site notes, and excellent time management, organisational and communication skills.</li><li>Maintain positive relations with current clients and interested parties by ensuring a high standard of work and presentation.</li><li>In addition to your normal duties, you may occasionally be required to undertake additional work necessary to meet the needs of the business.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional information:<br><br></strong><ul><li>We operate a 24/7 response service for our clients, as such you may be required to work out of normal operating hours, for which you are compensated.</li><li>Although regionally focussed, there will be a need for travel to cover the needs of the business throughout England, Scotland, and Wales.</li><li>The occasional need to stay away from home when required.</li><li>Incident response and tank testing training is provided, and other training and development opportunities will be available.</li><li>Opportunities available for collaborative working with other Response and Remediation businesses with the RSK Group.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications/Experience:<br><br></strong><ul><li>At least 3 years’ relevant experience (experience in the spill response / pollution control industry desirable but other, relevant, experience will be considered)</li><li>A full, clean driving licence (essential)</li><li>Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel (essential)</li><li>Utilities / Civils / Construction site experience (desirable)</li><li>Excavator / dumper experience / certification (desirable)</li><li>Basic project management experience (desirable)</li><li>BSc in relevant environmental field (desirable)</li><li>CSCS (desirable)</li><li>First aid (desirable)<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Salary and Benefits:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Salary Up to £33,000 depending on experience</li><li>Contributory pension scheme</li><li>A flexible benefits programme, including the option to buy additional holidays and private healthcare</li><li>Regular training and career development<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>The RSK Group are an equal opportunity employer<br><br></strong>#Environmentalscience #Environmentaljobs #greencareers<br><br><strong>RSK will not accept unsolicited CVs from agencies other than RSK PSL or Secondary agencies.<br><br></strong><strong>About Us<br><br></strong>RSK Raw is a leading specialist in inland oil spill response and remediation.
