Warehouse Operative - Picker & Packer

Salary: £27,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 16:30pm

Reporting to: Warehouse Manager

Supports: Floor Manager and Warehouse Team

Location: Warehouse & Dispatch Facility - Purley Way, Croydon CR0 4XG

Start Date: Immediately

Commitment: Permanent

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative - Picker & Packer to join our team. The role will focus on picking, packing and preparing orders to a high standard, ensuring our premium products are handled with care and dispatched accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Order Picking & Packing
  • Accurately pick products based on order lists and system instructions
  • Carefully pack items in line with company presentation standards
  • Ensure orders are complete, correctly labelled, and ready for dispatch
Quality Control
  • Inspect products for any damage or defects prior to packing
  • Maintain high standards of presentation consistent with a luxury brand
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to the Warehouse Manager
Goods Handling & Stock Management
  • Assist with goods-in deliveries, unloading and checking stock
  • Put away stock accurately into designated locations
  • Conduct stock checks and support inventory control processes using the WMS.
Dispatch & Shipping
  • Prepare shipments for courier collections
  • Ensure all documentation and labels are correct
  • Meet daily dispatch deadlines
Warehouse Maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
  • Follow all health & safety procedures
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as required
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, picking/packing, or logistics environment
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Experience working with luxury goods or retail products
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (Cin7 Core experience is advantageous)
  • Forklift Certified License (desirable but not essential - training course can be provided)
