Shopper Marketing Manager London en-GB

Here at innocent, we’re on a mission to make it easier for everyone to get more fruit and veg into their bodies. We started back in 1999 and since then we’ve gone from selling a few smoothies at a music festival to becoming one of Europe’s biggest drinks companies with around 1,000 people (and the B Corp seal of approval).

It’s nice to be able to say things like that but we’re not patting ourselves on the back just yet. We want to show everyone that it’s possible to be a successful business while looking after people and the planet too, so we’re trying to get better in pretty much every way. And that’s where this job comes in.

The salary for this role is £57,000 to £66,000 gross per year on a full-time basis, depending on relevant experience and skills.

How innocent shows up when someone is deciding what to buy really matters. Whether that’s in a supermarket aisle, online or somewhere in between, we want the experience to feel unmistakably innocent and help people choose our drinks.

That’s where you come in.

As our UK Shopper Marketing Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of our UK Marketing team, working closely with Sales, Category and our customer teams. You’ll turn our brand and portfolio strategy into smart, insight-led shopper plans that work for our brands, our customers and, most importantly, shoppers.

You’ll help shape our approach to shopper marketing across different channels and customers, bringing together strategic thinking and brilliant execution to keep raising the standard of how innocent shows up at the point of purchase.

You’ll be

  • Shaping and delivering our UK shopper marketing strategy, using shopper insight to connect our brand, portfolio and commercial ambitions.
  • Bringing the shopper perspective into our annual planning, translating brand priorities into clear channel, customer and activation plans.
  • Spotting the occasions, barriers and opportunities that could unlock growth, and turning those insights into action.
  • Setting a high bar for how innocent shows up at the point of purchase, both in-store and online.
  • Turning our brand plans into distinctive shopper activation, tailored to different channels and customers.
  • Working closely with Sales and Category to create customer plans that balance what’s right for our brand, shoppers and customers.
  • Managing and prioritising our shopper marketing budget, using data and insight to understand what’s working and where we can do better.
  • Working with our shopper marketing team, agencies and partners to turn good thinking into great execution.

You’ll have

  • Strong experience in shopper, customer or trade marketing within fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), alongside a good understanding of the UK grocery landscape.
  • A sharp understanding of shopper behaviour and the path to purchase, across physical and digital environments.
  • The ability to turn brand and commercial priorities into effective shopper, channel and customer plans.
  • Strong commercial judgement and an understanding of how shopper investment can support brand, customer and business growth.
  • A knack for turning data, insight and complexity into clear recommendations and compelling plans.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with a collaborative approach and the confidence to bring different teams along with you.

You’ll get

  • The opportunity to have a real say in how innocent shows up across UK shops and online, from the first idea through to what shoppers actually see.
  • A role that gives you plenty of room to think strategically, while staying close enough to the work to make things happen.
  • To work closely with Marketing, Sales, Category, Finance, Supply and our customer teams, giving you a broad view of how decisions get made across the UK business.
  • The chance to deepen your understanding of shopper behaviour and turn insight into activation across different retailers, channels and occasions.
  • Space to bring in fresh thinking, test new ideas and challenge how we’ve done things before when there’s a better way.
  • The satisfaction of seeing your thinking come to life in the real world, from a customer plan on a screen to something a shopper actually sees in front of them.

We want innocent to be a great place to work, so we do lots of stuff to make people feel at home and try to make sure everyone’s career is shaping up the way they want it to. There are plenty of opportunities to have a go at something new or take things further.

In exchange for helping us do business in the right way, you’ll get a solid rewards package that includes private healthcare, a target-based bonus, and a bunch of other nice things like a day off on your birthday. And yes, you get free smoothies.

We also know that not all our drinkers come from the same background, or think the same – so why should we? At innocent, we want to be a great place to work where a diverse bunch of people from all backgrounds can turn up and thrive. When we hire, we want all the juice, bits, and pulp that make you who you are.
