Job overview

We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Account Manager to join our digital marketing team. This is a hands-on role for someone who has B2B social media, content creation and account management experience. Paid social media experience is desirable but not explicitly required for this role.

You’ll manage the day-to-day running of social media accounts, developing client content plans, managing account calendars, and coordinating in-house creative teams. You will be expected to take ownership of all aspects of client social accounts from the initial briefs through to delivery and reporting.

Our clients operate across international B2B markets, so you’ll need to understand different audiences, be confident in working within brand guidelines, and keep multiple stakeholders aligned.

You will work closely with the Digital Marketing Lead, who sets the overall strategy and direction. Within this framework, you will independently manage day-to-day account delivery and client relationships, make decisions, and meet internal and external deadlines.

Social Media Account Manager - What you’ll be doing
  • Develop social media plans that support clients’ business and communication goals.
  • Plan content and manage calendars across all channels and markets.
  • Write and proofread social media copy, adapting messaging and tone for different audiences and platforms.
  • Brief and liaise with creative teams, providing clear instructions, feedback and deadlines.
  • Manage content approvals, gather feedback and ensure content is delivered on time.
  • Build strong client relationships, lead regular status meetings and keep stakeholders updated.
  • Schedule and publish content, with strong attention to detail regarding accuracy and quality.
  • Analyse performance and confidently report on results and recommend improvements.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates and B2B best practices.
  • Support the delivery of paid campaigns and align organic social activity with wider campaign plans where experience allows.
Social Media Account Manager - What you’ll bring
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts, ideally within an agency setting. Exposure to large B2B or international brands is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of social-first content and what makes content effective on social media.
  • Strong knowledge of LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, including how content and audience expectations differ across channels.
  • Experience translating business objectives and complex subject matter into relevant, engaging social content.
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident client relationship skills and the ability to provide advice, manage feedback and set clear expectations.
  • Strong organisation, with experience managing calendars, approvals and competing deadlines across several workstreams.
  • Experience briefing creative teams and giving constructive feedback.
  • Confidence interpreting social media data and turning it into useful recommendations.
  • Experience with social media scheduling, management and reporting tools.
  • A collaborative approach, good judgement and the ability to adapt when priorities change.
  • The ability to manage workloads independently, while recognising when to ask for support.

Social Media Account Manager - Desirable:
  • These would put you at an advantage, but they are not a must-have to apply for this role.
  • Experience with paid social, particularly LinkedIn Campaign Manager and Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager.
  • Experience with YouTube/ YouTube Shorts.
  • Understanding of Google Analytics 4 reporting.
Social Media Account Manager - Key benefits
  • Flexible hybrid/remote working.
  • Private healthcare.
  • Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme.
  • Company perks, including discounts on retailers, mobile contracts and experiences.
  • 28 days holiday allowance including bank holidays, plus extended holiday allowance over Christmas and annual holiday allowance loyalty increases.
  • Opportunities to develop your skills through training, workshops and events.
  • We’re primarily remote, but we also have a welcoming office environment.
  • A supportive, creative team that shares ideas, learns together and makes time to connect.
